The Garland nomination: Shame on the Senate, and the press

I wonder why the press let the Senate off so easily for their inaction after the Merrick Garland nomination.  Instead of giving him the courtesy of a hearing, the Senate Republican leadership merely ignored Pres Obama's nomination and hobbled the Supreme Court - a coequal branch of government.

What they did was outrageous.  They violated their oath of office, and undermined the Constitution. But where is the outrage, the challenge from our media masters to the Senate's brazen hijacking?
Those Senators who are responsible should resign, starting with Mitch McConnell.

These are not conservatives; they are radicals, acting contrary to tradition, contrary to the structure of government, contrary to principle.

And the press just do-si-dos on past the egregious behavior.

No surprise, I suppose from the folks who failed in so many ways in our recent presidential campaign.

I wonder also, does the Constitution have to suffer so the Nielsen chart looks good?
