China issue with Taiwan call

Why are our news mavens asking the wrong question?  Trump is president-elect.  He does NOT yet have the authority to do anything that makes or compromises set policy.

Yet on CNN the exchange was over whether this is unusual or does it imply a new policy or is Trump just winging it to stir the pot.  We should be asking how can someone without the authority vested in a constitutional officer or his/her authorized spokesperson be making calls to heads of state unless it is only a courtesy call and is consistent with current protocol and policy.

And he's not president, with the authority vested in his position, until he's sworn in January 20.  Until then President Obama is our chief executive.

Bad move Trump. Get with the basic issues, CNN, and recall that Trump's not even president-elect until the electoral college votes.
