Don't be surprised Mitch

Now that the president has been acquitted, perhaps those who voted not even to hear witnesses are having second thoughts. A rampant president, unfettered by guidelines he won't observe, unleashed by a freewheeling attitude of unlimited power whose source is a pit of revenge spells bad news for our republic. I hope the wishful thinking of those who said he learned a lesson are reminded of their folly. And, we have ten months of this behavior to look forward to; it's going to be a long 10 months folks. The reaction of judges and former prosecutors is encouraging, and should lead to serious changes. But not by the president. So, my media friends, when the president says he's going to take some action that flies in the face of reason and the rule of law, could you PLEASE at least ask the question "Does the president have the authority to take the action?" That way we can at least catalog the abuses of power that will surely emanate from the White House. Shame on you Senate Republicans, all except for Mr. Romney, of course.
