Lack of authority

The continuing threats of more tariffs from the White House need to be challenged with the question of why the president thinks he has the authority to impose tariffs. A tariff is a tax, and the Constitution gives Congress authority to impose taxes. If there is a case for emergency authority, the press and Congress should require the president to MAKE THE CASE! The president also does not have the authority to order businesses to stop doing business with China. Ridiculous. Maybe he looks to China and Russia for his models for leadership, and doesn't understand the difference between an authoritarian regime and our system. It just shows that he has not even a basic understanding of his Constitutional authority in our republic. Just add it to the ever-growing list of reasons he is unfit to be in any political office, let alone the presidency. Where is the Congress? DO SOMETHING!!
